Summer is officially upon us, and we couldn’t be happier!  In fact, all we can think of are summer days spent by the water…which of course makes us think of cover-ups.  We’ve been long time fans of the brand Chach for thier whimsical designs and perfectly adorned beach-wear with tassles and sequins.  Often the best selections of the line are found in resort boutiques, but Barney’s has a hand-full of styles as well as Nordstrom Rack (60-70% off!), in addition to Chach’s website.  Summer here we come!—CC

There are a lot of lovely monogrammed goods out there these days – catalogues, websites, neighborhood stores, you name it…you can get just about anything personalized.  But for the more discerning eye and that special something, I have yet to find someone who does it as well as A to Z Monogramming.  Veronica has the best selection of goods ideal for monogramming with the most divine array of embroidery you have ever seen.  She is my new best kept secret and the woman behind my baby boy’s summer wardrobe.  She operates through Facebook and e-mail, but be warned…it’s totally addictive!  xx, Christin

When the swaddle does not suit or it is time to move on, buntings are the way to go.  These from Petit Bateau happen to be some of our favorite.  They are the perfect weight, and we love that their hardware and fasteners are near nothing and completely hidden.  Hard to imagine having anything but the sweetest dreams snuggled in one of these.  –CC

As you probably already know, we love Pennymeade–especially their collections that so easily allow you to coordinate with siblings and/or friends.  Not to mention their prints this season are truly to-die-for.  We especially love this ‘pink in provence’ print from Liberty of London  as we love boys in pink just as much as we do girls.  –CC

Rarely do we come across a line of clothing as well-executed as Velveteen that we literally want the entire collection (an exercise in restraint!) Such is the case with Hong Kong based Velveteen.  Borne from an American woman living with her family in Hong Kong, this brand hits every note…lovely fabrics, excellent craftsmanship and socially conscious.  Shipping is free to the US and worth mentioning that Velveteen won 2014 Junior Design award for “Best International Children’s Brand.”  Safe to say we agree.—CC

These shorts are certainly a layering essential for girls…’Monkey bar Buddies’, ‘Tumble Shorts’—they have many aliases.  However, most of them are not as purchase-friendly as this version from Target.  Given how frequently our girls wear this important playground layer, we love the $4.50 price tag—plus they are avail in a rainbow of colors to coordinate with literally any outfit.  Worth doing a flip for!—CC

With sunny days ahead, proper cover is important.  If your little boy isn’t the fedora-wearing type, baseball hats are your best bet (and so say our friends with school-aged boys).  We came across these Ebbets Field ones at crewcuts.  Not your typical baseball hat…Ebbets field are known for their faithful rendetions of old-school team logos.  Unfortunately NY is sold out, but LA/SF make for a good head-to-head and there are other inspired options as well (Macon Peaches!).  Go team!—CC
