Our beach game just got a whole lot chicer thanks to these towels from The Beach People.  We’ve been seeing them popping up in chic little beach shops like the Surf Lodge in Montauk this summer, and have to say, they really are a great beach day essential. Made from the plushest terry, these are perfect for lounging around on the sand (or even the grass in a park or your backyard!)  Bonus: They have a leather strap you can purchase for hands-free toting and also make a size for les petites who lounge!—CC

Lately we are having somewhat of a love affair with Australian brand, Zimmermann.  We are loving it for ourselves, but also, in the way they encompass exactly what we want our daughters to be wearing.  From maxi dresses (adjustable straps enable this dress to be worn for several years) to harem pants to swimwear, we are coveting that chic Aussie style.—CC

Reapplying sunscreen is not only a total pain, but we often forget…yikes!  Introduce Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen brush in SPF 50.  A little for yourself and a little for your children.  Forget those pasty sticks, and attempts to put lotion on the beach without turning it into an exfoliator.  Choose a skin color match and brush away your sunburn fears with simplicity and ease.  –CC

A well curated luxury Amazon…is the best way we can describe it.  Spring is a new online destination where you can purchase everything from a designer stroller, a graphic tee for your son, a pair of jeans for yourself, a new pair of shades for your husband, and the latest lipstick shade for the season.  Check it out-pretty interesting and quite promising as a new one stop shop for a variety of shopping lists.  –CC

Boys and their trucks…the rumors are all true.  Starting as a mom of two girls and now having a boy, this is new territory for me.  And at 18 months old, the love of cars, trucks and pretty much all vehicles is no joke.  Finding great toys, books and games is easy, but supporting this obsession in what they wear and how they live–uh, not so easy.  Inspired by this super stylish boys room featured on One Kings Lane, these vintage truck prints are ideal from baby to big boy.  As for clothing, for some reason most brands like to put super sized trucks on their clothing, but we prefer a little more subtlety like this embroidered romper that can be worn alone or paired with a collared shirt.  Is there such a thing as trucker chic (wink, wink)??  xx, Christin

We have a feeling ballet-inspired clothing is going to be a big trend for fall.  No one does ballet-inspired better for girls than Tutu du Monde.  These dresses are beautiful enough to wear as a party dress and well-made to take the wear-and-tear of the daily dress-up routine.  Add some ballet flats and a denim jacket and you’re girl is ready to dance into the day.—CC

We both travel with this airplane harness restraint for our littles.  Not a flight goes by when someone doesn’t inquire as to where we’ve found them! The concept behind Cares Kids Fly Safe is that children are restrained during take-off, landing and taxi…but we think they are also genius for keeping kids in place for all the in between! This harness is  the answer once you no longer fly with a carseat to keep your child in their seat without wiggling out of the seatbelt. The handy carrying bag also works for stashing away things like headphones.  Two thumbs (way) up for this product.—CC

We love this assortment of vintage Hawaiian floral swim trunks from Crewcuts.  Pair them with a relaxed and casual shirt and be luau ready just off the beach or from the pool.  Something extra hip and cool when boys wear just the right floral print with bright colors.  –CC

We all love the game, but we love Minnow swimwear collection even more.  This swimwear line from California is new on the scene, and has caught our attention with their simplicity that is far from minimal and full of style.  The perfect mid-summer refresh to add to your little swimmer’s pool/beach wardrobe.  Just add sunshine.  –CC

P.s. Thanks to the friends and contributors who brought this line to our attention.  We love it!

Our dear friend Alex came to us a few months ago with a chic challenge…”what should I have my 2, almost 3 year old wear for his baptism?”  She wanted something traditional, but that would be comfortable and easy for her vivacious little boy.  We suggested this button on boy suit that has the simple style of a jon jon with a heirloom quality lace edge that allows him to to be suitable for the occasion while remaining all boy.  These knee socks and white oxford walkers are the perfect finish that are totally wearable without being fussy or overly fancy.  Congratulations George Grey on your special day–what a ‘chic child’!  -CC

By the way, Alex happens to be the chicest mama around with a company that you absolutely need to know about.  Bitsy’s Brainfood is pure genius, totally delicious and a dream-come-true for any mother looking to nourish their children with a healthy diet.  Shop their collection of products here.
