Maybe not your most practical purchase, but one that will get more use than you think.  Not to mention the fact that she will simply adore them!  Ballerina sneakers…these are the perfect transition from dress-up time at home to the playground.  They style as easily with dresses as they do with shorts or a jumpsuit, so go for it…and make her day!  –CC

A new brand that is as lovely as it sounds…the name ‘Pennymeade‘ comes from a pond in the English countryside where the owner, Monica used to play as a little girl.  ”Pennymeade is a return to a simple time, a reminder of warm sun, hot tea, and all that is classic, English style, which she adores.”  As a mother of four, trying to coordinate outfits became an expensive endeavor, and so Pennymeade is not only classic and well made, but priced for the practical parent.  What a nice surprise!  The quality far exceeds the price tag which is a rare find.  With girls dresses priced at $42, and boys button-down shirts at $30, there is no fear in sending them to the playground looking their best.  –CC

You know the brand Oeuf…the ultra-hip and ever-so-stylish eco-friendly brand out of NY.  Oeuf is the go-to for simple and cool design, from their fabulous alpaca knits to the best of modern, sleek cribs.  We’ve recently discovered (and fallen for) their “Stuff we love” section of their website.  A collection of somewhat random and somewhat nostalgic pieces—these are great gift ideas and also things you might just want to pick up for your own children.  From room decor to tote bags, there is something for everyone.—CC

When we received an email from Stella McCartney Kids featuring some of their new summer pieces, we couldn’t help but see the striking resemblance to current fave brand (for le mamas) Clover Canyon.  Psychedelic florals are a fun way to change up the classic summer motif, and we personally can’t get enough of the Clover Canyon look in everything from pants to dresses.  Stella brings you the same play-with-prints effect for babies, boys and girls.  What do you think…Would you try this trend for your little one this summer?—CC

With all fashion attention on this week’s MET Ball to celebrate the annual exhibit—PUNK: Chaos to Couture, we thought we’d have  a little fun with fashion and pull together some punk-inspired looks for your little one (including [adult] mohawk wigs from MET gala sponsor M’oda ‘Operandi to really get you in the mood).  We looked to UK site Alex & Alexa for the perfect punk’d out pieces.   Leather, lace, laser-cut, studs and skulls are key to achieving a little punk in an every day outfit….SO Rock’n'Roll.—CC

A jean jacket and pop-pom scarf–the dynamic duo of spring layering.  I love this look, but particularly for this time of year it really becomes the essential combo for both me and my girls.  My older daughter Scarlett (4 years old) is pictured here wearing it with a dress, and over a tunic and leggings.  The versatility is what makes this duo so dynamic.  And though we love to play around with different scarves such as batik prints, bold colors, and stripes, this scarf by Matta is an all-time favorite that truly goes with everything.  –Christin

Can one ever have too many bags…we guess it may be possible, but who can resist a totally functional and perfectly printed new diaper bag just in time for summer?  We are always looking for the perfect diaper bag, and our dear friend Stephanie has turned us on to a new seasonal favorite.  Think of this as your “Mr. Right Now” of diaper bags.    Light-weight cotton ikat or provencial print…take your pick.  Either way, this goes perfectly to the beach or the park and will feel fresh and summery either on your shoulder or your stroller.  –CC

We are definitely feeling fancy after being introduced to Florence Fancy, a by appointment atelier-like boutique in the heart of Manhattan’s upper east side.  You feel like you are going to someone’ s home, and then instantly transported to a wonderfully beautiful shopping experience with lines mostly from Europe that you simply can’t find other places.  The owner and children’s stylist Nancy McCormick Vella prides herself on a completely custom experience, rare collections and full service.  Everything from styling outfits for an upcoming trip, to last minute birthday dresses, and full seasonal wardrobes–they have it covered.  Even more exciting…they just launched e-commerce; so if you aren’t making a trip to New York City any time soon, you can now shop it online.  So fancy!  –CC
