We are thrilled to introduce you to an absolute favorite children’s boutique in Manhattan, and the chic Owner and Creative Director behind the store, Alissa Emerson. Little Edit is a mecca for fashionable and beautiful little girls’ clothing and accessories (newborn-8 years old).  Edit is located in a townhouse on NYC’s Upper East Side and within this picture perfect store you can find some serious women’s fashion—think Isabel Marant, Thakoon and Proenza Schouler. The upstairs is home to the charming and ethereal home of  Little Edit. We were lucky enough to have Alissa give us a little peek inside her très fashionable (and well edited) world. Alissa describes the store as “A mix of traditional, old-fashioned values with delicate, ethereal and whimsical touches. The store offers the perfect balance between elegant clothing that is appropriate for children, while mixing in artisanal, handmade items for a rustic, European feel.” Some of our favorite lines that can be found at Little Edit? April Showers, Atsuyo Et Akiko, Caramel Baby & Child, C de C, Louis Louise, Marie Chantal, Lanvin Petites, and Nellystella…its an embarrassment of riches.

Alissa told us it is her daughter Annabelle that inspires her vision and selections for the boutique.  Buying trips to Paris and shopping for her daughter eventually evolved into Little Edit. It is apparent that Alissa is truly passionate about children’s clothing and she remains involved in all aspects from buying, to styling the clothing and accessories on display. Her great taste and keen eye are what set the store apart.  Afterall, where else can you walk in, buy the latest Proenza bag for yourself and head upstairs for some equally exciting and unique pieces for your daughter? Check out some of Alissa’s own fall favorites below—CC.
